This really depends on what gate you want to stay close to - main gate, back gate, Fallbrook, or San Clemente. You have to be careful at some of the hotels in Oceanside because you might end up shot or broke.
Days Inn Oceanside and Oceanside Marina Suites are safe bets and are really close to the main gate, but aren't the nicest in the area. Good luck.
