It all depends on your budge. If money is a problem, and you don't mind a small drive, try the Homestead Suites on Ulmerton Rd. in Clearwater/Largo, off of I-275. The rooms are VERY nice, and you won't pay more than $55 a night.
If money ISN'T an issue, I'd recommend Sheperd's Resort or the Best Western on Clearwater Beach. On Sand Key, there are even nicer properties with a Marriott and Hilton over there.
