Bars near hotels in Chicago?

My friends and I are going bar hopping in Chicago and need to figure out where we wanna stay. We'd like to stay somewhere that is within walking distance of a few bars but we're unclear as to where that would be. Does anyone know any hotels near some good bars?Bars near hotels in Chicago?
I would think you would want to look at a hotel near Clark %26amp; Division like the Hotel Indigo maybe. There are a lot of really cool college/post college type bars east of Division on Clark...I would imagine a good 10-20 bars on Division. Then Lincoln Park is only a ten minute walk or five minute cab north, and there are TONS of bars along both Clark and Lincoln.

A cab will also get you to Wicker Park in a little over five minutes, I'd say to the three way intersection of Milwaukee/North/Damen where you'll find about 20 more bars and clubs just about door-to-door. The difference between Lincoln %26amp; Wicker Park...you'll find the Cubs on in Lincoln Park and more DePaul students, Wicker Park won't have sports on at all and it's a little pretentious with music, art and stuff like that.

As mentioned, Rush Street is a pretty active bar/club area, but to be honest that area has earned the nickname ';The Viagra Triangle'; because it seems like that whole scene revolves around a bunch of 50 year old business men trying to bang the 20 year old skanks that hang out in that area.Bars near hotels in Chicago?
Look for something near the North Ave. and Wells area. In that location you are about equal distance to all of the bar hotspots: The Rush Street area (Division Street), the Wicker Park Area (North Ave. And Damen), the Lincoln Park area (Lincoln Ave and Fullerton), the Wrigleyville/Lakeview area (Clark and Broadway streets). All of these areas have a bunch of bars clustered near each other so you can only walk a few feet and find another bar if the one you're in is dead. And there are also bars on the North and Wells area if you find yourself in a hotel near there and don't feel like traveling too far.
Don't try to pick your hotel around where bars are, there's good bars all over the loop and all over the north side. If you want to go somewhere else its a short cab ride or l train ride. Rush and Division is a cool area with a ton of casual but really fun bars. In the loop and river north its more lounges and upscale clubs. Lincoln park and that area has some cool bars as well. Find a nice hotel at a decent rate, you can find bars anywehre in the city.
there is a best western that is located near the bar that is haunted, hard rock and a few blues clubs...im pretty sure its river north...
