What is the nearest hotel to the us embassy building in philippines??

Many folks wish to be near the embassy because this is the main reason they com to PI. That area is kind of nice with malls, and Rizal Park, and Intramurous walking distance. Baywalk is a 5 min drive, and the airport is 20 mins away.





Bayview Park Hotel fronts the embassy and is P2000 per night. But I never stayed there, and none of my friends either. Within a very short walk is more than a dozen more popular hotels. Holiday Inn Ermita (P4500), Pan Pacific Ermita (P5000), Manila Hotel near Rizal Park (P10,000) are the nicest. There are some other hotels in there between 2-3000 that are quite nice. None of these hotels are resorts. They do not have pools. By the way Holiday Inn is a really nice Holiday Inn, not like in the US.





There is also for about P1-2000 some more liberal hotels, that are more like old trailer park motels. The main one is Swagman's and is probably the cloesest hotel. Swagman's and these others cater to sex tourism. So I'd recommend staying out of them unless that's what you aspire for.





If flying in, the taxi driver will try to dissuade you or take you somewhere else...tell him you have companions (that's the word used in PI) waiting for you.What is the nearest hotel to the us embassy building in philippines??
